NOTE: There are several movies in this post so it might take a little longer to load.

Day 2 of the camp was a similar to day one in the activities that were planned. One thing was dramatically different. Our reception from the kids was dramatically different. On day one it was “wait and see”. Not day 2, it was enthusiastic and full of anticipation. We were escorted into the school yard with kids running along side the vans. And they gathered to greet us outside the courtyard of the school.

Schaun did use normal brilliant job of getting the enthusiasm level up. And today, there were ready follow his lead.

Here are some photos from the rest of the day.

Left: Story time. The man in the white shirt and the jacket is interpreting and doing a great job. Right: The boys were having a great time.

The TLP leaders were much more confident the second day and did a great job leading their groups.

We were not shy about joining in the fun.

Rain Sticks were the craft of the day. On the right is a rain stick parade.

At the end of the day, Schaun gave the 4 groups 10 minutes to come up with a dance that was to be judged. The groups were all very inventive. Here is an excerpt from one of the dances.

The end of our day consisted of them singing the South African national anthem to us and then we sand the Star Spangled Banner to them. After a closing prayer, we packed up the vans and headed toward our lodge.
