The Ek clan gathered for a mini reunion in Norrkökping on Wednesday. The family name in Sweden was Ek. My name was changed to Eklund when my father's ancetors immigrated to the United States. In any case, all of the Swedish Eks were in attendance except Rut who was taking care of her sick husband Henry and Stefan who was unable to attend. Her is a picture from the reunion.
All of the youngest generation was in attendance except for Milan Rydh who was headed back to university early the next day.
After an afternoon of eating and conversation, most of us went to an outdoor symphony concert where we heard movie music written by John Williams. It was a beautiful night.
And, the evening was finished off with a walk down to the river for fireworks.
