Skansen 2

Every Tuesday during the summer, Swedish television airs a program called Allsång. Essentially, Swedish music stars

will come and perform their hits and lead the crowd in singing traditional Swedish songs. It is a huge hit in Sweden with a TV audience of close to 25% of the population watching. People actually camp overnight at the gate to Skansen in order to get front row seats and lots of people come to watch the rehearsals which run pretty much all day. The man in the pictures is a big star and he is rehearsing singing out in the crowd.

Anna, Märta, and Lisa were getting in to the music.

Well, at least Anna was. Märta seems amused and I imagine being a teenage girl, Lisa is trying not to be associated with her mother....

One more thing about Saksen. In the petting zoo there was a fountain full of pacifiers. I don't know for sure, but it appears that it is a place for children to leave their pacifiers as a rite of passage. There even a few blankets and stuffed animals. Some had notes attached. An intere

sting concept.
