New Year’s Eve

Jacques

We started our evening by eating at Jacques, a French restaurant on board with our friends. I’ve eaten a lot of restaurants, but never gotten bread with the name of the restaurant on the rolls. Yes, it was edible. The food was great and the service was very good. It was a good meal with good friends.

We finished around 9:30. The party on the pool deck didn’t start until 10:15. We were skeptical (well at least Chuck was) that we could stay until midnight. But, the night was pleasant and we whiled away the time until 10:15 when the band started playing and the party began to get lively.

By 11:30 the place was hopping. Alas, we were not able to dance because of Chuck’s back. No, it was not just a convenient excuse. We made it to midnight, but not much after. Pretty sure the party went on for a long time. Here are some pictures.

The 2017 was made from huge blocks of ice. Lots of pictures were taken in front.

We didn’t stay to get a picture with the 2018.
