Edinburgh, Scotland

We anchored at Queensferry, Scotland and took a 15 minute ride in a tender to shore. On the way from the ship we were in a very nice boat that was used for charters and tours. On the way back we were in an actual lifeboat. The boat will hold 150 people. It was about 75% full in the are we were sitting and it was pretty crowded. It would be super crowded if it were full, but if it really were a “life” boat, I am sure nobody would care about the crowd.

Then we took a taxi to the castle in Edinburgh. The castle is pretty amazing. We had taken a tour of it before so we chose to just see it from the outside this time. We strolled the streets enjoying the sites and people from all over the world.

BagPipre HeadlessMan

In Scotland, you have to take a picture of a bagpiper.                                A “headless” street performer.

TartanWoman PhoneBooth

Pretty sure the only plaid we saw was on tourists.            Yes, indeed, there are still iconic phone booths.

Sheep

I believe it is mandatory to take pictures of sheep when you are in Scotland.
