Shipboard

We boarded the ship without incident. The first event is a sail-away party around the pool.

Bridge

We were docked very near a beautiful bridge.

As is traditional for PHC cruises, Garrison leads a sing along at a sailing away party. And as always, he is accompanied by the incomparable Rich Dworsky. Rich hears the first note and he starts playing  the tune.

GK RDSweetCaroline

He sings old songs, beer songs, camp songs, Americana, Broadway, hymns (Amazing Grace and It Is Well with My Soul among others), and always closes with the National Anthem.

Normally he sings Neil Diamond’s song, Sweet Caroline. We were disappointed that he didn’t this year because the real sweet Caroline came prepared.

After the sail-away, we unpacked our luggage. One of the great things about a cruise is you don’t have to repack and move during the trip.

That was followed by dinner. Normally after dinner we listen to some entertainment, but we were both tired and went to bed soon after dinner.
