On our way back to Seattle the ship stopped in Victoria for the afternoon and evening.

We did an excursion to a butterfly garden and to Butchart Gardens. The butterfly garden was very nice. Here are some pictures.

I (Chuck) sat down for a minute and this bird flew down from the ceiling and landed right beside me. He sat and posed for me for a few minutes.

Butchart Gardens was incredible. We would call it a must see in Victoria. The gardens sit on 55 acres and have incredible flowers, shrubs, trees, and landscaping. Even though it was cloudy and occasionally rainy while we were there we loved it. Victoria has a very mild climate because of the ocean currents. In fact, there are palm trees in Victoria which indicates that it never freezes hard there. So, the gardens flourish in the climate. Here are some pictures.

Vacations are fun, but home is best.
