Fourth of July in Sweden

Map

The day started (after sleeping in) with a 4 mile hike in a nature preserve a few miles outside of Norrköping. It was a cloudy and cool day, but the exercise of hiking made it pleasant. The area is partly forest and partly marsh land because of its proximity to the Baltic Sea. Below are some pictures from the hike.

In places we had to walk on boards to stay above the wet lands.

Östergötland is the name of the area where we were.(Anna, Janne, and Caroline)

For the fourth of July we cooked a traditional meal for a picnic. We made hamburgers and had potato salad, cole slaw, chips, and dip. I tried to find corn on the cob, but there was not any available. Desert was fresh Swedish strawberries with whipped cream. Anna had found an American flag and put it up. We took some pictures with the flag.
