Tuesday in Sweden

For Chuck, Tuesday started with an early golf game with Janne. We teed off about 7:15 and had a nice round of golf on a beautiful morning.

In the afternoon, Anna with help from Eva, organized a family pentathlon. We played 5 games keeping score and declared an overall winner.

The first game was tossing water balloons back and forth seeing who could toss and catch it the farthest distance.

The second game was darts. We each threw 3 darts and calculated the score. Vidar smoked everyone in this event. You can see the dart just to the right of his head.

The next event was throwing balls in to a bucket. Each person had 10 balls to throw ranging from whiffle balls to golf balls. This was harder than it looked.

The fourth event was another water game. Using a pumped water pistol, we had to knock over a water bottle from about 10 feet. Once again, this was harder than it looked. Once again Vidar beat everyone in this event.

Finally we played the Swedish game Kubb. Note to Colorado Springs friends. We have a Kubb set and if you want to play, let us know.

Vidar won the 5 event series, Anna (the scorekeeper—we thought about a recount), and the rest of us were just losers <GRIN>.

After that we had a nice BBQ supper. It was a good day on Swedish National Day. At the end of the day, about 9:30, we took a group picture outside. Yes, there is plenty off light in Sweden at 9:30 to take picture outside.
