Parade

Next

After a nice dinner of tilapia, cashew chicken, rice, fruit, and soup, we piled into a taxi and Aye's truck and headed to a town about 20 minutes to watch a parade. It was similar to a county fair parade. When we got there some of walked over to a place where we saw lots of lights. It was much like a fair site. There were food vendors

, cheap toys, and a blow up play site

. The kids, just like American kids, were having a great time in the play area. There was a woman talking on the stage, but nobody seemed to be paying any attention.

The parade started, and it was a bit of controlled chaos. The road

was a divided road, two lanes on each side of the divider. Traffic was not stopped going either direction. The parade was in the middle lane on one side while traffic was still flowing one the outer lane. It was very odd.

For a while, Tom C. and I were sitting on the divider,  but we were almost too close the parade. I took a picture of the other watchers from the divider.

Here are some pictures from the parade.
