Key West to Belize

We spent a day at sea going from Key West to Belize City  in Belize. Belize, for those you as old as we are, is the former British Honduras. It is in Central America and is bordered by Mexico on the north.

Caroline went to glee club where she sang old songs with other passengers and Garrison. I went to a spinning class where I was tortured by Jay. It was a great workout. It was more a full body workout than a cycling workout which was a great thing. As I write this, 3 full days later, I am still bit sore.

We spent the afternoon listening to music. We first heard Jearlyn and Billy Steele (Jearlyn pictured above). She is an incredible talent, singing blues, jazz, and gospel. Her brother is also a gifted singer and piano player, and they were incredible.

Garrison Keillor did an abbreviated Prairie Home Companion at night. Below are some pictures from that performance. It was a great day for the PHC groupies that we are.

Fred Newman

, the sound effects guy, making a sound.

Tim Russell and Sue Scott

doing Guy Noir.

Andy Stein

on the fiddle.

Garrison giving the "News from Lake Woebegone."

Note his signature red shoes. I have never seen him in anything but red shoes. Even at the airport after cruise, he was in red shoes.
