Gröna Lund

Gröna Lund is an amusement park. We did an interesting thing. We all did five different games and kept track of the score. So, we did Woody (in the US we would call it Whack a Mole), a basket ball shoot, and 3 other events. It was a great way to have some fun and get to try some of the things without having to worry about brining home a prize that we probably wouldn't want anyway. (In the picture above, you can see Chuck.  He is third from the top.)

We all went into the fun house. It had a moving staircase for an entry that was a  little tricky. At the end you took a flying carpet ride to exit. I don't think I will ever get Caroline to do another attraction

at an amusement park. (You've got that right Charles!!)

Some of us went on some rides. Chuck and the two girls went on the ride pictured at the top. Janne went on a vertical rise and fall ride.

He said it wasn't just free fall, but they pulled you down with the cable so you got an acceleration rush both on the way up and the way down.

Janne, Chuck, Lisa, and Märta rode a three different roller coaster rides.

However, none of us had the desire to try the "Insane" ride, partly because of the long line and partly because it appeared to live up to its name. The picture doesn't give you a good feeling for it .

The riders are connected to the track to something that not only moves on the track, but it spins. You can get a better idea from this movie.

It was a long busy day. As we took the ferry back to our hotel, we had a beautiful view of the Stockholm skyline.
