One morning Caroline got up and happened to look outside and noticed the moon and three bright objects in the sky. She woke me up and we watched it for while. There is a great iPad app called StarWalk (highly recommend if you are curious about the night sky). I cranked it up and we found out the moon, Venus, Mars, a bright star, and Jupiter were all aligned. It is apparently quite rare. I didn’t take a picture with the sky really dark (I didn’t have a tripod), but I did take one later in the morning when there was bit of light. You can see the moon and what I think is Venus and then Jupiter as you look up in the sky. Get up before it gets light and you can see it in the eastern sky.

Read all about it here.
